Physical well-being

As we all know, being physically active can help us to lead a healthier and even happier life. The good news is that our housekeepers and carers tell us that they can walk up to 8 miles per shift – think of how many calories you’re burning! If you don’t have a physical job, there are lots of ways you can add some exercise into your day.

Walking

Walking is simple, free, and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier.
Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier.
You don’t have to walk for hours. A brisk 10-minute daily walk has lots of health benefits and counts towards your recommended 150 minutes of weekly exercise.
